Hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday season and have started 2012 on a good note.
Over the break I had the chance to view several interesting dvd’s and wish to share one today – “What the Bleep do we know!?…It’s time to get wise!” It has a story line and also consists of interviews with leading doctors and professors of medicine, physics, quantum physics and psychology etc. If you have seen “The Secret”, to me this is a follow up and it is something I totally believe in.
In a previous blog I spoke about paradigms. Hundreds of paradigms in history we take for granted and they simply aren’t true (e.g. for hundreds of years they believed the earth was flat) but unfortunately we are locked into these pre-set paradigms and don’t question. “Quantum physics is the physics of possibility”.
Why do we continually have the same jobs, choose the same relationships and make the same mistakes? We create our own realities. We are so governed by our conditioning that we have no idea of what we can actually achieve! What if we have the power or options to change our conditioning and we had unending possibilities? Imagine what life would be like if we could create our future with our thoughts? Why not appreciate the power of thought? Hmmm the mind boggles! This dvd actually has a lot of scientific evidence to back this up.
Most people live their lives in mediocrity and don’t aspire for more, they actually hold themselves back. Think of a time when you really wanted something? I’m sure we have all done this at least once. We formulate what we want and are totally focused on it. We lose track of ourselves and time. That picture is the only picture that is real then that is Quantum Physics in action, manifesting reality. Have you done this? I know I have.
I liked what Ramtha (Master Teacher – Ramtha School of enlightenment) summed up. “We must pursue knowledge and if we do that we can manifest knowledge into reality and our body will experience things beyond our wildest dreams”.
Why not apply this to your goals at Viva? Try it, you have nothing to lose or have you? For more information check out the web sit www.whatthebleep.com.
Good luck,

PS And in the words of Albert Einstein…”The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honours the servant and has forgotten the gift.”
Happy New Year!
We wish you the best for the coming year and hope that your festive season is both fulfilling and rewarding.
This is a time of the year when families, friends and hobbies play a big part in our life and I like you enjoy this immensely. i personally at the time of this email am visiting our shack on the York Peninsula, fishing and relaxing with friends and family and remind myself daily to savour every moment, as this is what life is all about. It’s even more rewarding as this year my son Jax is among us at 13 weeks and that makes the days even more special.
Well, I am sure you can relate to me when I say that all this food and drink slows you down so what are you doing about it? I put it to you that on holidays you want to feel energetic and enthusiastic about your day and what better way than to do some exercise so you can relieve the guilt from the previous days indulgence. Here’s my own personal tips;
Get up grab some fruit, make a coffee, play with the kids, do something useful (tie your fishing hooks for that arvo- it helps me wake up and feel productive) then exercise. This is usually about an hour after waking before i come back and scramble up a healthy egg breakfast.
Look at activity as exercise throughout the day, just yesterday i didn’t;t do the point above but we had to move a pallet of brick I chose to run and do it myself and got a 15 minute cross training session in. I added a few push ups in because i could!
Get the family involved- Stop looking for no’s and only find yes’s. I.e. “Honey, I really want to take the dogs for a walk and want you to join me, come on it will be fun.” Now run, jog, skip, play have fun and up the intensity by any means possibly- just no rugby tackles guys!
I am sure you have heard ‘It’s 5 o’clock somewhere’…. yes it is but reduce the alcohol and pace yourself. I was always told you had to ‘earn’ your beer so I do some work around the shack, go fishing, play beach cricket first and have a drink at the end of it to enjoy it and reflect!
Just do it! If you have 5 minutes go for it. Last week i took the dogs for a run and found myself, boxing along the way, skipping, doing some parkour stuff and had a great time.
Life’s for living guys- Make it happen….

Hi all,
Have you heard of The pH Miracle, by Dr Robert Young, PhD and Shelley Young? “Balance your diet, reclaim your health”
If you want to say goodbye to low energy, poor digestion, extra pounds, aches and pains and disease then this is the book for you. According to Dr Young the pH balance of our blood, striking the optimum 80/20 balance between an alkaline and acidic environment provided by eating certain foods, can work on our body chemistry and help revitalize and maintain our health.
I have come across this in many of the books I have read and there seems to be a common denominator in all and that is that certain diseases like cancer cannot exist in an alkaline environment but thrives in an acidic environment. What foods are acidic and what are alkaline? I found this interesting. Believe it or not tomatoes, avocados, lemons and limes are actually alkaline and of course green vegetables. And yes, meat, shellfish, eggs, dairy, potatoes, corn, white bread, pastries, biscuits, cashews, pistachios, peanuts, beer, coffee, wine and other liquor, sugar etc. are all acid foods. Wow you might say what’s left? So, the 80/20 rule….that means 80% on our plate should be green vegetables preferably raw in salads etc., sweet potato, carrot, chickpeas, lentils, basmati rice, quinoa, certain fruits, just name a few. That leaves only a small portion for certain meats, fish or grain foods. Have you looked at your plate lately? When we go out for a meal, check out the plate it is nearly always the other way around…meat and potato and a very small serving (if any) of greens!
How to test, it is easy. Most health stores have the pH testing strips or you can get them on line. Also there are alot of alkaline boosting supplements i.e. Alkaline Superfoods (a combination of barley grass, wheat grass and alfalfa leaf). You may feel like bit of a cow when you take this powder as it smells exactly like grass but I must admit I don’t mind the taste now. I promise you, you won’t go away mooing and the benefits far exceed the taste!
So an interesting exercise, just test your body’s pH and see where you are at? You may be surprised at the result!

Today I share with you that ‘habit is what we all should aspire to in fitness’. The sport we train for is life! Period. To live well, to live better and to do more. To have less limitations and more positive ways to be involved in life. If fat loss is what you want, yes perhaps in the short term but…. when you lose the fat (and you will) then what? Your program should be designed to help you improve and function better for the ‘game of life’. Seriously is the couch, the box and the dinnertable as good as it gets?
To say ‘i can’ to the next offer of a beach walk, tennis game or ogffer to play on the playground with the kids is what it’s all about. If your body is trained in more ways to function and you can translate those squats and lunges etc to everyday life and playing with friends and family and then you get a feeling of wellbeing better than any spirit on the weekend and can be proud of yourself and what feels better than that?
